Matthew Morrison Partners with Human Rights Campaign to Support Equality

EMMY, TONY, and Golden Globe-nominated star Matthew Morrison is proud to announce that he is partnering with the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) in support of LGBT equality. Partial proceeds from the pre-sale of his new studio album, Where It All Began, will benefit HRC. The album, which will be released on June 4, 2013, features an assortment of classic standards, many of which were first made famous in Broadway musicals. Morrison turned to legendary producer Phil Ramone, along with GRAMMY Award-winning producer Gregg Field, to create the 12 songs featured on Where It All Began. The record marks the first release from 222 Records, the newly formed label from Adam Levine. Place your pre-order of Where It All Began now, on Amazon.com, and 222 Records in partnership with Matthew Morrison will donate a portion of the proceeds to the Human Rights Campaign. (more...)

Over the past twenty four hours, many of America's most recognized brand names and Hollywood's biggest stars have joined millions of people around the world in sharing a modified red version of the Human Rights Campaign's (HRC) logo in support of marriage equality. HRC, the nation's largest lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender civil rights organization, launched a social media campaign Monday afternoon in conjunction with two marriage cases before the Supreme Court this week, in an effort to raise awareness and help showcase the broad and diverse support for marriage equality. With a book by four-time Tony Award-winner Harvey Fierstein, music and lyrics by Grammy Award-winning rock icon Cyndi Lauper, and direction and choreography by Tony Award-winner Jerry Mitchell, Kinky Boots proves that sometimes the best way to fit in, is to stand out. The reading is an unprecedented account of the Federal District Court trial in Perry v. Schwarzenegger (now Perry v. Brown), the case filed by AFER to overturn Proposition 8, which stripped gay and lesbian Californians of the fundamental freedom to marry. (more...)

'Cold Case' - Past sins resurface when Kathryn revisits a decade-old case after its shooting victim dies of her injuries. Attorney Lloyd Perlman (Mandy Patinkin) convinced Ronnie Sotto (Rick Gonzales) to plead guilty and serve time for the shooting years ago, but the moment the victim died, Sotto's assault charge became murder. Kathryn now struggles with trying a man the system has already reformed. Jimmy takes the case as a favor to Perlman, but soon starts to question Perlman's competence and whether Sotto was guilty at all, on 'The Whole Truth,' WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 15 (10:01-11:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.
