Dallas Theater Center Welcomes Liz Mikel and Cedric Neal for Centerstage 2013 Gala, 5/11

Dallas Theater Center announced today that Brierley Resident Acting Company member Liz Mikel and former Company member Cedric Neal will headline Centerstage 2013 on Saturday, May 11. Co-chaired by Rusty Duvall and Deborah McMurray, with honorary chairs Diane and Hal Brierley, Centerstage 2013 will take place at the Dee and Charles Wyly Theatre, which will be transformed for the evening. WaterTower Theatre's 2013 Spotlight Gala will be held on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at the Addison Conference Center. The fundraising Gala is chaired by Barbara Daseke. The theme for this year's Gala is Blues in the Night and will feature entertaining blues and jazz music by Denise Lee, Cedric Neal, the Tu-Tones and the Briefcase Blues. (more...)

The 2012 Tony Award Winner for Best Revival of a Musical, The Gershwins' PORGY AND BESS becomes the longest-running production of Porgy and Bess to ever play on Broadway with its 306th performance today, September 11, 2012, breaking the record formerly held by the 1953 revival at the Ziegfeld Theatre.
