Harlem9 Partners with Pregones Theater PRTT for 48HOURS IN… EL BRONX

After 7 years, the producing collaborative Harlem9  has played to packed houses, picking up an OBIE award along the way in 2014.  This April, Harlem9 collaborates with Pregones Theater PRTT, a Latino arts organization in the Bronx for the 2nd time to present "48HOURS IN… EL BRONX".  The two organizations first collaborated in December 2016. This year, the theme takes a tour of some of the most memorable dance clubs in Bronx history.

Amas Musical Theatre to Present BREAD AND ROSES A New Musical as Part of the Dare to Be Different Series

Amas Musical Theatre (Donna Trinkoff, Artistic Producer) will present Bread and Roses, with book & lyrics by Jill Abramovitz and music by Brad Alexander, the third and final offering of Dare To Be Different, the previously announced series of new musicals and one-night only special events being held at A.R.T./New York Theatres (502 West 53rd Street 10th Avenue & 53rd Street). "50 Shades of F****d Up," a new unauthorized musical parody of the international best-selling behemoth "50 Shades of Grey," shutters after playing four weeks on Saturday. Written, directed and choreographed by Tricia Brouk, with original songs by Andrew David Sotomayor, "50 Shades of F****d Up" was heralded as the only unauthorized musical parody of 50 Shades north of Times Square. It began its run at Sophie's at Broadway, 318 West 53rd Street, on Monday May 12. The show's Off-Off-Broadway opening was on Monday May 19.
