The Children's Acting Company of New York Will Present BYE BYE BIRDIE, 5/17-19

The Children's Acting Company of New York will present its production of 'Bye Bye Birdie,' the Broadway musical hit with music by Charles Strouse, lyrics by lee Adams and book by Michael Stewart, for four performances at the leonard Nimoy Thalia Theater at Symphony Space, ss' Street and Broadway in Manhattan, from May 17 -19,2013. There will be performances on Friday, May 17, at 7:30 PM, Saturday, May 18, at 2:00 PM and 7:30 PM, and Sunday, May 19, at 12 Noon. Gerard Alessandrini's Forbidden Broadway: Alive and Kicking! ends its run today, April 28, at the 47th Street Theatre (304 West 47th Street). The smash musical, which received unanimous raves from critics and audiences alike, broke all box-office records at the 47th Street Theatre and won spots on the Top Ten Lists of Time Magazine and the Associated Press, begins its hiatus in order to make room for The Puerto Rican Traveling Theatre's own season, as required by the show's lease agreement with the theatre. The Eugene O'Neill Theater Center is set to honor Christopher Plummer at a gala event tonight, April 15th in New York City. The 13th Annual Monte Cristo Award will be presented to Mr. Plummer by fellow stage and film legend Kevin Spacey. Mr. Spacey was the recipient of the Monte Cristo Award in 2009.
