Mary Poppins will conclude Broadway run at The New Amsterdam Theatre today, March 3, 2013 after 2619 performances and more than six years. With attendance totaling nearly four million guests, the show has been seen by more people in the last six years than any Broadway show except Wicked and The Lion King. As the Broadway production of MARY POPPINS comes to a close, we tracked down all the past and current kids who played the iconic roles of Jane and Michael Banks, from the original cast in 2006 to the current group as they take their final bow on March 3, 2013.

Ashley Brown, Broadway's original MARY POPPINS, returned to the company yesterday, March 8, at the New Amsterdam Theatre. Brown assumes the title role through Sunday, July 17 (Laura Michelle Kelly, currently playing the role, will take a brief hiatus for a film project, returning to the show on Tuesday, July 19). Brown reunites with her original Broadway ‘Bert,' co-star Gavin Lee, having last performed with him when they launched and headlined the MARY POPPINS North American tour. On Halloween, more than twenty Broadway Kids Care (BKC) members from numerous shows will team with UNICEF at Kids Night on Broadway at Madame Tussads. BKC/UNICEF will have a booth where kids can decorate Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF boxes and make fun crafts. Alex Ko (Billy Elliot), Matthew Lobenhofer (Gypsy), Katherine McNamara (A Little Night Music), Catherine Missal (Mary Poppins), and Laurissa Romain (South Pacific) will be on hand to meet guests at the ever popular autograph alley.

BroadwayWorld.com has learned that the 101 DALMATIONS MUSICAL Tour that has been making its way cross country will close after it's Madison Square Garden engagement on April 18, 2010. The production opens in New York on April 7, 2010. Stops in San Antonio, Kansas City, Pittsburgh, and San Diego had been scheduled through early June thereafter, but will be cancelled, accordingly.

New York City is seeing spots as The 101 Dalmatians Musical comes to The Theater at Madison Square Garden April 7 - April 18, 2010, presented by Purina Dog Chow. To celebrate their arrival to New York City, the stars of the show and five live Dalmatians arrived in true NYC style aboard an FDNY fire truck lead by New York's bravest and also children from the Uniformed Firefighters Association Widows and Children's Fund, part of the Garden of Dreams Foundation. Yesterday, April 6, BroadwayWorld was on hand to partake in the welcome.

The New York Post recently took a look behind the scenes of the current tour of 101 DALMATIANS, specifically looking at the difficulties of having a cast of 15 dogs. According to the report, the dogs have received their own tour bus and enjoy more luxuries than many of the cast members.
