Based on true events, the World Premiere of Zoe Lewis's passionate and thought-provoking play BRITTEN IN BROOKLYN will be staged at Wilton's Music Hall, starring Sadie Frost and directed by Oli Rose, for 21 performances, 31st August to 17th September 2016.

As a part of Alley All New, the Alley Theatre announces two workshop presentations of the new musical in progress Lover, Beloved: An Evening with Carson McCullers tonight, August 23 (7:30 p.m.), and August 26 (8:00 p.m.) in the Texas Room.

Set in Philadelphia - a comedy - an Italian American family - combining funerals, bookmakers, a bank robbery, family loyalty and disloyalty, embezzlement, family secrets and food, lots of food! The six roles will be played by Art Tedesco as Tony, Meredith Gray (his wife), Riley Carson Lewis (their son); Mary's two brothers will be played by Ed Chavez and Owen Reed, and Marc Lynch plays Danny, an enforcer for a local bookie.

Steppenwolf Theatre Company presents the Chicago premiere of Stephen Adly Guirgis's 2015 Pulitzer Prize-winning drama, BETWEEN RIVERSIDE AND CRAZY, directed by ensemble member Yasen Peyankov, who also directed last season's critically acclaimed Grand Concourse.
