After spending time on Broadway and on tour, triple-threat actress Jillian Mueller can now be seen dancing up a (ha ha) storm in the National Tour production of FLASHDANCE, in which she plays leading lady Alex Owens---yes, the sexy steel mill worker who moonlights as a maniac, maniac, on the floor. The stage incarnation of the hit movie of the same name continues performances through May 19 at Segerstrom Center for the Arts. The Recording Industry Association of America Adds Digital Streaming to Gold & Platinum Standards

The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) today announced the integration of streams to its historic Gold & Platinum (G&P) Program, the industry's premier award for recognizing artistic achievement in the marketplace. On-demand audio and/or video song streams will now be counted towards the 500,000 (Gold), 1,000,000 (Platinum) and 2,000,000 plus (multi-Platinum) thresholds required for G&P's Digital Single Award certification. The Candie's Foundation created a national dialogue on May 1st, the National Day to prevent teen pregnancy. The Foundation's initiatives garnered over 200 million impressions with its message of teen pregnancy prevention. The Candie's Foundation partnered with Thunderclap, a social media platform that programs a tweet and Facebook post to be sent out automatically at a set time. The message, 2,000 teenage girls will get pregnant today. I stand with @CandiesOrg #NoTeenPreg was sent out by social media powerhouses: Chris Brown, Carly Rae Jepsen, Lucy Hale, Bella Thorne, Jenny McCarthy, Audrina Patridge, and others.
