According to the Daily Mail, Andrew Lloyd Webber's new musical STEPHEN WARD is eyeing the Aldwych Theatre as its West End home, with hopes to begin rehearsals in October in time for November previews. Its said that Lloyd Webber is also considering two other theaters in case Top Hat, which is currently running at the Aldwych, doesn't close in time for STEPHEN WARD. (more...)

Alexander Hanson, Hal Fowler and More Set for Andrew Lloyd Webber's Profumo Affair Musical Sing-Through by BWW News Desk - Feb 07, 2013
As BroadwayWorld previously reported, composer Andrew Lloyd Webber is at work on a musical based on the events surrounding the 1963 Profumo Affair. Today, the Daily Mail has confirmed that Lloyd Webber will be leading a sing-through of the musical's score with Alexander Hanson as Stephen Ward and Hal Fowler as Profumo. Joining them will be Iris Roberts as Christine Keeler, and Carly Bawden as Mandy Rice Davies. (more...)

Artistic Director Daniel Evans today unveils Sheffield Theatres' spring season for 2013, which includes two world premieres - Bull, a new play by Mike Bartlett, and This Is My Family, a new musical comedy by Tim Firth; major revivals of D.H. Lawrence's masterpiece The Daughter-in-Law and Alan Bennett's The History Boys, and Sheffield People's Theatre present their second production, 20 Tiny Plays about Sheffield. On Sunday, 12 August, 2012, David Suchet met the cast of Threesixty Entertainment's The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe in Kensington Gardens. Suchet recorded the voice of Aslan, a giant puppet, for the production back in May while performing in the West End play Long Day's Journey Into Night, which closes at the Apollo Theatre on Saturday, 18th August.
