As of July 1st, founders of the Detroit Repertory Theatre, Bruce Millan and Barbara Busby have retired after 64 years of leadership of the iconic cultural institution.

Additional details have been announced for the one-night only, bi-coastal livestream jamfest Rock of Ages: All-Star Reunion Concert tomorrow night, Saturday, April 24, 2021 at 8:00PM ET. All ticket purchasers will have the option of watching the concert live and/or on demand for an additional 24 hours through Monday, April 26.

The drama continues for the thwarted Broadway-aimed musical Nerds.

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, nerds, a new musical comedy about the rise and rivalry of tech trailblazers Bill Gates and Steve Jobs, will postpone its Broadway run. A national tour of the production is in the works. The show had just finalized and announced its cast in late February, at the start of rehearsals. nerds was scheduled to begin previews on April 1 and open on April 21 at the Longacre Theatre. North Carolina Theatre is proud to announce that the new musical dot-comedy Nerds will open at Broadway's Longacre Theatre on April 21st, 2016 following preview performances which began on March 31st.

Confirming earlier rumors that NERDS THE MUSICAL will finally be heading to the Great White Way, BroadwayWorld has confirmed the show will premiere at the Longacre Theatre this spring.

?Nerds is headed back to to New York City! The musical will be presented in two workshop productions, slated for today and tomorrow, April 16 and 17, 2015. Casey Hushion (ELF) will direct, with choreography by Josh Bergasse ('Smash', ON THE TOWN).

Producers Big Block Entertainment/Scott Prisand & Jamie Bendell (Heathers: The Musical) and Carl Levin (Rock of Ages) present the new pop-rock musical One Day in its New York premiere this spring, for a limited engagement at the innovative downtown performance space 3LD Art & Technology Center.
