Netflix Exclusive, Original Series HOUSE OF CARDS Available Today

The Netflix original series, from Media Rights Capital, HOUSE OF CARDS starring Academy Award winner Kevin Spacey ('Horrible Bosses,' 'American Beauty'), Golden Globe nominee Robin Wright ('The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo,' 'Forrest Gump') and Kate Mara ('American Horror Story') will be available for members to watch instantly beginning today, February 1, 2013. All 13-episodes of the drama series's first season will be available to Netflix members in territories where Netflix is available -North America, the UK, Ireland, Latin America and Scandinavia. Indie Film BLESS ME, ULTIMA Gets Limited Release, Feb 2013

Arenas Entertainment Founder and CEO Santiago Pozo announced today that the independent film BLESS ME, ULTIMA will be given a limited national release in February 2013. Arenas Entertainment is distributing and marketing the film, which had an extremely successful box office run in regional release earlier this year. BLESS ME, ULTIMA will debut in more than 200 theaters across the country, including in cities such as Los Angeles, Miami, Chicago, Dallas, Phoenix, Houston, Denver, Tucson and San Antonio. (more...)

Kevin Coleman recently won best short film at the 2012 Charlotte Black Film Festival with his film "Osi" which addresses walking away from violence in urban communities. Beowulf Alley Theatre's Old Time Radio Theatre Company will present classic productions and reproductions from the golden days of radio at the theatre, 11 South 6th Avenue (Downtown between Broadway and Congress). Performances in October will be Tuesdays at 7 p.m. on October 4, and October 18, 2011. Tickets purchased online at www.beowulfalley.org at least the day before a performance are $8.00. TNT's FALLING SKIES Comes to Comic-Con 2010, 7/23

TNT's FALLING SKIES, the eagerly anticipated series from DreamWorks Television and executive producer Steven Spielberg, is coming Comic-Con. The series stars Noah Wyle. The drama series, slated to premiere in summer 2011, envisions a world where aliens have invaded, and the fate of humanity lies in the hands of a few survivors. The series stars Noah Wyle (ER, TNT's The Librarian movies) and Moon Bloodgood (Terminator Salvation). Also on the FALLING SKIES team is co-executive producer and writer Mark Verheiden (Heroes, Battlestar Galactica). The 3 of them will attend Comic-Con for a Q&A panel session scheduled to take place Friday, July 23, from 4:45 p.m. - 5:45 p.m. (PT) in Room 6A. Following critical acclaim and popular demand, Playwrights Horizons (Tim Sanford, Artistic Director; Leslie Marcus, Managing Director) has announced a three-week extension for the World Premiere of THIS, the new play by Obie Award winner Melissa James Gibson (Suitcase, [sic]). Directed by Obie Award winner Daniel Aukin ([sic], eight seasons as Artistic Director of Soho Rep), the production opened Wednesday, December 2. Originally set to run through Sunday, December 13, the limited engagement will now play through Sunday, January 3, 2010 at the theater company's Mainstage Theater (416 West 42nd Street).
