The best of Broadway is being presented free on six consecutive Thursdays this summer with '106.7 Lite fm's Broadway in Bryant Park 2011' - a lunchtime series that began on Thursday July 7th on the Bryant Park Stage. Sponsored by Bank of America, and Clean Air NY, and hosted by Lite fm's on-air personalities, the eleventh annual presentation of open-air, On- and Off- Broadway lunch hour performances runs through August 11th.

JERSEY BOYS, the Tony, Olivier and Grammy Award-winning Best Musical, will break two records this weekend. The hit musical will surpass Abie's Irish Rose with 2,328 performances, becoming the 26th longest-running Broadway show following the performance tomorrow night, Saturday, June 25, and JERSEY BOYS will surpass Man of La Mancha with 2,329 performances, becoming the 25th longest-running Broadway show following the performance on Sunday, June 26.

Warner Bros. Theatre Ventures in association with Unique Features present ELF, based on the beloved 2003 New Line Cinema hit. ELF will feature songs by Tony Award nominees Matthew Sklar and Chad Beguelin (The Wedding Singer), with a book by Tony Award winners Thomas Meehan (The Producers, Hairspray) and Bob Martin (The Drowsy Chaperone). Although there's been no official announcement yet, while talking to the Rockland Journal News about the upcoming ELF muscial, Thomas Meehan tells the paper that 'In casting Sebastian Arcelus ('Good Vibrations') as Buddy, Meehan says director Casey Nicholaw didn't want someone who would deliver a Ferrell impersonation. 'We wanted someone who would make it their own,' he says.'

Michael Riedel reports in the New York Post this morning that make no mistake about it - Robin and the 7 Hoods, which opened at San Deigo's Old Globe Theatre last Friday, July 30, is coming to town, at least if the widow of the show's lyricist has anything to do with it. Robin and the 7 Hoods, which garnered lukewarm reviews out west, features the music of Sammy Cahn and Jimmy Van Heusen, including the songs 'My Kind of Town,' 'Call Me Irresponsible,' 'Ain't That a Kick in the Head,' 'All the Way' and more. Cahn was Frank Sinatra's preferred lyricist and member of the famed 'Rat Pack.'
