Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater announces the full company for Good People, the humor-filled Broadway hit about class, fate and economic hardship from Pulitzer Prize winner David Lindsay-Abaire (Rabbit Hole). Esteemed Canadian director Jackie Maxwell, now in her 11th season as Artistic Director of the Shaw Festival, makes her D.C. directorial debut and returns to direct in the United States after five years. Named Best Play by the New York Drama Critics' Circle during its Broadway run, Good People runs February 1-March 10, 2013 in the Kreeger Theater. (more...)

BWW Interviews: Philip Riccio Talks Speaking in Tongues by Kelly Cameron - Nov 06, 2012
Speaking in Tongues is the latest offering from Company Theatre, and it opened this past week at the Berkeley Street Theatre where it will run until November 24th. The show tells the story of nine interconnected people and explores issues such as infidelity, intimacy, and human connection. It is directed by Company Theatre co-founded Philip Riccio, who sat down to talk to BWW about the challenges that come with directing a play such as this, the mature subject matter and his vision for Company Theatre. CYRANO, written by Fountain Theatre co-artistic director Stephen Sachs (Bakersfield Mist) and directed by Simon Levy, opens at The Fountain Theatre on April 28, with previews beginning April 20.
