COUGAR TOWN is Coming Back; TBS Picks Up Series for 5th Season

TBS has renewed its hit original comedy Cougar Town, produced by ABC Studios and starring Courteney Cox, Christa Miller, Busy Philipps, Dan Byrd, Ian Gomez, Josh Hopkins and Brian Van Holt. The network has ordered 13 episodes for season five, which is expected to launch in 2014. Cougar Town joined the TBS lineup in January for the show's fourth season. It currently airs Tuesdays at 10 p.m. (ET/PT), with the season finale slated for April 9. (more...)

Bravo Media kicks off 2013 with its best night ever in primetime among total viewers and its strongest Sunday night in the network's history among A18-49 behind the strength of 'The Real Housewives of Atlanta' and 'Shahs of Sunset' in their new time period at 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. Featuring a highly-anticipated break up between Kenya and her man, 'The Real Housewives of Atlanta' garnered its highest-rated episode of the season with 3.7 million total viewers and ranked number one in the time slot across all cable networks among A18-49 and A25-54. In addition, premiere of 'Vanderpump Rules' on Monday night at 10 p.m. delivered over 1 million A18-49, over 1.2 million A25-54 and 1.9 million total viewers, making it the network's highest rated new series launch since 'Bethenny Getting Married?' Busy Philipps, star of the TBS original comedy series 'Cougar Town,' and Taye Diggs, star of the ABC drama 'Private Practice,' will reveal the 19th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards nominations on Wednesday, Dec. 12. The announcement will be telecast live on TNT at 9 a.m. (ET)/6 a.m. (PT) and webcast live on tnt.tv and tbs.com. SAG-AFTRA Co-President Roberta Reardon and Executive Vice President Ned Vaughn will introduce Phillips and Diggs to the assembled media.
