The University of Nevada, Las Vegas, features one of the prestigious hospitality programs educating students in the creative economy. The highly ranked William F. Harrah College of Hospitality is presenting A Night of a Thousand Days at UNLV, starring Tony Arias and Keith Thompson Oct. 19 and Oct. 26 and starring Bruce Ewing and Philip Fortenberry Nov. 9 and Nov. 16.

Feature: Entertainers Reunite in God Lives In Glass at The Smith Center on Aug. 13

Many entertainers will join their hearts and voices for an encore performance of the hit original musical theatre concert God Lives In Glass. The 20th-anniversary performance will be celebrated at Reynolds Hall in The Smith Center on Aug. 13 at 3 p.m. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the nonprofit The Composers Showcase of Las Vegas.  

The Smith Center Celebrates Five Years With Commemorative Anniversary Concert

Last night (March 7, 2017), The Smith Center for the Performing Arts celebrated its milestone Fifth Anniversary with a sold-out, commemorative concert featuring Broadway favorites, local talents and more. Emceed by Broadway veterans and stars of THE LAST FIVE YEARS Adam Kantor (FIDDLER ON THE ROOF) and Betsy Wolfe (BULLETS OVER BROADWAY) each talked about the last five years at The Smith Center. Featured performers included Brent Barrett (PHANTOM - THE LAS VEGAS SPECTACULAR), Santino Fontana (CINDERELLA) and Jessica Fontana (IDAHO! THE COMEDY MUSICAL), Chandra Lee Schwartz (WICKED), Teller of Penn and Teller, Nate Dendy (THE TEMPEST), Christopher Convery (KINKY BOOTS), J. Elaine Marcos (MISS SAIGON), Christine Hudman (IDAHO! THE COMEDY MUSICAL), Ashley Loren (BAZ - STAR CROSSED LOVE), Randal Keith (LES MISERABLES), Bruce Ewing (PHANTOM - THE LAS VEGAS SPECTACULAR), Alex Ellis (IDAHO! THE COMEDY MUSICAL), Joan Sobel (PHANTOM - THE LAS VEGAS SPECTACULAR), and Nicole Pryor Dernersesian (PHANTOM - THE LAS VEGAS SPECTACULAR) presented under the musical direction of Keith Thompson. Additionally, Las Vegas favorite Clint Holmes joined GRAMMY® and Tony®-nominated composer Frank Wildhorn onstage for an unforgettable performance of 'This Is the Moment.'

BWW Reviews: Hal Prince's Broadway: An Evening In Word and Song

First, a reviewer's confession: Hal Prince is one of my heroes. With him - through his shows - I've been able to travel the world and travel through history. There was ancient Rome (A Funny Thing Happened On The Way to the Forum), 1930's Germany (Cabaret) mid-20th century Argentina (Evita), the American South in early 20th-century (Parade, probably my favorite show), New York City during the 1950s (West Side Story), early 20th century Sweden A Little Night Music), and lots more times and places in lots more shows - among them (Follies, Company, Pacific Overtures, She Loves Me, Sweeney Todd.

The Las Vegas based production, Broadway at its Best, starring the highly-acclaimed musical group, 'The Phat Pack' will make its Florida debut in the Bradenton Auditorium this weekend, August 2nd and 3rd. The Broadway-style, musical variety group was given the 'Best of Las Vegas 2013 Award' for Best All Around Performers by the Las Vegas Review Journal.

THE PHAT PACK Teams Up With Easter Seals Nevada For Two-Month Long Ticket Promotion, 11/29-1/29

Vegas' newest headlining show, THE PHAT PACK will donate a portion of their ticket proceeds to Easter Seals Nevada, the nonprofit that serves more than 7,000 Nevadans living with disabilities every year beginning November 29-January 29. Following the show at The Plaza Hotel & Casino, guests are encouraged to write "Easter Seals" on the back of their ticket stub and leave it in the donation box at THE PHAT PACK Merchandise Table.

CITY MOVES DANCE CONCERT Held At CSN 10/22-23

An afternoon of contemporary dance will be presented Oct. 22 and 23 in the Nicholas J. Horn Theatre at the College of Southern Nevada, 3200 E. Cheyenne Ave. Performances will be held at 1 p.m. each day.
