El Portal Theatre presents GRANT GEISSMAN: BLOOZ  and more! New album release concert, with special guest saxophone legend Tom Scott,  on Saturday, September 24 at 8pm onstage at the historic El Portal Theatre Debbie Reynolds Mainstage, 5269 Lankershim Blvd. in the NOHO Arts District, North Hollywood, CA. 

The chart-topping singer will be honoured for her exemplary contributions to the art of music and songwriting. In addition, acclaimed singer/songwriter and producer Tems will receive the BMI Impact Award, a recognition given to a songwriter, producer or composer for their ground-breaking artistry, creative vision and impact on the future of music.

Ashe releases her new single and accompanying video, “Emotional” - available everywhere via Mom+Pop Music. The song is taken from her highly-anticipated forthcoming sophomore album Rae. Directed by Jason Lester, the video gives life to the carefree tune and is reminiscent of The Velvet Underground's live performance at Andy Warhol's Factory.

Jamie has only ever released a handful of official remixes (for the likes of Radiohead, Adele, Four Tet and Florence + the Machine) and, on his first remix in over five years, he stretches the Brian Wilson-sampling original into a near ten-minute dancefloor epic. It’s 2022 and Richard X. Heyman is releasing 67,000 Miles An Album. The disc is a collection of brand-new songs mixed with some from a few years back,produced by Heyman, recorded at his home Kit Factory studio with drums recorded at Eastside Sound in NYC. The earlier compositions were written for The Doughboys.

Zooey Deschanel (She) & M. Ward (Him) released the third single,'Til I Die,' off their upcoming album Melt Away: A Tribute to Brian Wilson via Fantasy Records. “Til I Die” first appeared on the Beach Boys’ 1971 album Surf’s Up. 'Darlin'' and 'Wouldn't It Be Nice' were the first two singles to be released from Melt Away.
