On Tuesday April 30th, 2013, members of the Broadway Company of Chicago joined forces with Sing For Your Seniors to bring a very special performance to the seniors at Encore Senior Center. The musical performance hosted by Sing For Your Seniors' Executive Director Jackie Vanderbeck, included songs of the performer's choosing as well of songs from Chicago. Yesterday, December 20, Broadway's globally acclaimed revival of the Tony Award-winning musical CHICAGO celebrated another momentous milestone and record-breaking when it played performance #6,681. With that 8 p.m. performance at the historic Ambassador Theatre, CHICAGO surpassed the original Broadway production of Les Miserables to become the third longest-running show in Broadway history. SECONDARY IMPACT, a play with dance, will have an industry only invited rehearsal on Thursday, March 15 in NYC. Conceived and choreographed by JoAnn M. Hunter (ON A CLEAR DAY YOU CAN SEE FOREVER), the piece has music by David Dabbon (SONDHEIM AND SONDHEIM), book by Christine Toy Johnson (TRANSCENDING -THE WAT MISAKA STORY), and is directed by Tony-award winning actress, Michele Pawk. The cast includes Tony Award nominated actress Charlotte D'Amboise (A CHORUS LINE, CHICAGO), Philip Michael Baskerville (THE PRODUCERS, CATS), Brian O'Brien (CHICAGO), Deidre Goodwin (SILENCE: THE MUSICAL, A CHORUS LINE), Miquel Jarquin-Moreland ("Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close"), Dharon Jones, Kristine Bendul, Colin Bradbury, Todd Burnsed, Lisa Gajda, Liz Ramos, and Ryan Worsing.
