Currently in its world premiere run at Burbank's Colony Theatre through May 19th, Falling for Make Believe is a 95-minute bio-musical-dramedy chock full Broadway nostalgia, debilitating alcoholism, covert homosexual dalliances and musical fantasy sequences that is often-times bewitching, occasionally bothersome, and at points just downright bewildering. Brett Ryback Exposes The Kid with the Keys at Sterling's Upstairs at the Federal by Don Grigware - Sep 18, 2012
On Sunday, September 16, actor/singer/composer Brett Ryback brought his immense talent to Sterling's Upstairs at the Federal. His new show The Kid with the Keys, premiering here, not only alludes to his dexterity on the keyboard but goes out on a limb to express his feelings about the theme of his show. Promising an elegant evening of troublemaking with songs from young contemporary composers like himself: Joe Iconis, Ryan Scott Oliver and Daniel Mate, Ryback presented many of his own compositions, which concern growing up in an ultra messy world. The keys? Well, maybe he has the answers to the problems. (more...)

BWW Reviews: SCR Stages Funny Debut Play THE PRINCE OF ATLANTIS by Michael L. Quintos - Apr 13, 2012
In THE PRINCE OF ATLANTIS, Steven Drukman's funny new play set in the heavy-accented neighborhood of Nonantum, Massachusetts, the characters all seem to believe that the key to good relations with others and living a good life (or at least a nicer-than-average one) is to make things appear better than they really are for everyone else...and, perhaps, even extend the delusion for themselves as well. The comical, sometimes touching play is currently enjoying a fully-staged World Premiere production at South Coast Repertory in Costa Mesa through April 29. (more...)
