Mrs. Doubtfire, THE new musical comedy resumes performances on Broadway on Thursday, April 14 at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre (124 W 43rd St).

Producer Kevin McCollum announced today that the original Broadway cast of Mrs. Doubtfire will record a cast album this week in New York City. The album will feature the Broadway cast that opened the show on December 5, 2021, including Tony Award nominee Rob McClure as Daniel Hillard, Jenn Gambatese as Miranda Hillard, and more.

Mrs. Doubtfire will welcome new cast members to the company, all making their Broadway debut. Titus Landegger and Tyler Wladis will share the role of Christopher Hillard while Austin Elle Fisher and Ava Gail Prince will share the role of Natalie Hillard. Renée Reid also joins the company as a swing.

The Town Hall will present Broadway By The Year: The New Wave on Monday, March 21 at 8pm. Created, written, hosted and directed by Scott Siegel for The Town Hall, the evening will launch Broadway By The Year’s 21st landmark season at The Town Hall (123 W. 43rd Street).

2019 MAC Hanson Award recipient Teresa Fischer and recent NY Independent Theater Award winner Mary Sheridan come back to the cabaret stage with an evening of musical delights. 

Backstage Babble, hosted by 14-year-old theater aficionado Charles Kirsch, is proud to announce the publication of its 100th episode, featuring Broadway legend Harvey Fierstein.

Lin-Manuel Miranda, along with Mrs. Doubtfire’s Analise Scarpaci, Jake Ryan Flynn, Avery Sell, Jay Harrison Ghee, Calvin Cooper and Tony nominee Brad Oscar will join Seth Rudetsky and James Wesley in tonight’s very special episode of “Stars in The House” to remember their dear friend Doreen Montalvo, the voice behind some of Broadway’s greatest songs. 

Actor Brad Oscar has earned two Tony Award nominations for his performances in The Producers and Something Rotten!, and has additional Broadway credits which include The Addams Family, Nice Work If You Can Get It, Spamalot, Jekyll & Hyde, and Big Fish. Mrs. Doubtfire, the new musical comedy with a book by Karey Kirkpatrick and John O'Farrell and music and lyrics by Wayne Kirkpatrick and Karey Kirkpatrick, directed by Jerry Zaks, is currently taking a hiatus on Broadway from January 10 to March 14, 2022 at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre (124 W 43rd St, NYC).

Although it may be a new year, several classics are returning to streaming services, giving Broadway fans the perfect throwback binge list, along with HBO's star-studded The Gilded Age series and new additions to Seth Rudetsky's online concert series. Check out what you should stream this January!
