Masterworks Broadway to Release SEVENTEEN and London CABARET Cast Recordings by BWW News Desk - Oct 18, 2012
Masterworks Broadway continues to release cast recordings previously unavailable in the CD era. Seventeen (1951 Original Broadway Cast) and Cabaret (1968 Original London Cast) will be available as downloads through all major digital service providers and as disc-on-demand with the original cover art, via Arkivmusic.com and Amazon.com. All releases will be accompanied by new album pages and photos on MasterworksBroadway.com.

Museum of the Moving Image Presents Wes Anderson Retrospective, Now thru 5/27 by Movies News Desk - May 18, 2012
American director Wes Anderson has built colorful, beautifully realized worlds in his seven feature films, from his stunning debut Bottle Rocket to his latest Cannes Film Festival opening feature, Moonrise Kingdom. From today, May 18 through 27, 2012, Museum of the Moving Image will present a Wes Anderson retrospective including all of his features and the short Hotel Chevalier, as well as a special screening of Orson Welles's The Magnificent Ambersons-a film that inspired Anderson. Each screening in the series will open with a personal video introduction by Wes Anderson. (more...)

Madame C. J. Walker to be Memorialized on 6 Ft. Column on Georgia Street by BWW

Madame C. J. Walker will be among the inaugural class of ten famous Hoosiers to be honored with Legacy Awards on Friday, March 2nd at 10 a.m., at the intersection of Capital and Georgia Streets. Images and biographies of the historic figures-whose selection was announced by Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard in December 2011- will be displayed on 6-foot-high columns along Georgia Street. Indianapolis Downtown Inc. (IDI) is coining Georgia Street as Indy's "newest and coolest" venue. (more...)
