The most celebrated musical of the 2006 Broadway season, The Drowsy Chaperone, a new musical comedy, is coming to the Buck Creek Playhouse, 11150 Southeastern Avenue, for nine performances, June 1-17, 2012. Lincoln Center Theater Extends 4000 MILES Through 7/1

Lincoln Center Theater (under the direction of André Bishop, Artistic Director, and Bernard Gersten, Executive Producer) has announced that it will extend the run of its critically acclaimed production of Amy Herzogs 4000 MILES, directed by Daniel Aukin, for a second time, through Sunday, July 1 at the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater (150 West 65 Street). The original run of the production was extended through Sunday, June 17 after 4000 MILES opened to critical acclaim in early April. ( more...)

Casting was announced today for the upcoming U.S. tour of the 2011 Tony Award-winning Best Play, WAR HORSE. The company, comprised of more than 30 performers, includes Andrew Veenstra as Albert Narracott, Brian Keane as Arthur Narracott, Michael Wyatt Cox as Billy Narracott, Todd Cerveris as Ted Narracott, Angela Reed as Rose Narracott, Jason Loughlin as Lieutenant James Nicholls, and Jason Alan Carvell as Private Schnabel. Nicholas Hytner, Richard Bean, James Corden, Oliver Chris and Jemima Rooper from the National Theatre of Great Britains acclaimed comedy One Man, Two Guvnors will be featured on NPRs All Things Considered, tomorrow, April 18 between 4-6 PM. The official Broadway opening night is also tomorrow Wednesday, April 18th.

The National Theatre's epic WAR HORSE, winner of five 2011 Tony® Awards including Best Play, will play Boise June 6-9, 2012. Lincoln Center Theater (under the direction of André Bishop, Artistic Director, and Bernard Gersten, Executive Producer) has announced that it will extend the run of its critically acclaimed production of Amy Herzogs 4000 MILES, directed by Daniel Aukin, through Sunday, June 17 at the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater (150 West 65 Street). The production, which features Gabriel Ebert, Greta Lee, Mary Louise Wilson and Zoë Winters, began performances March 15, opened on April 2 and originally scheduled to run through Sunday, May 20, had its world premiere last June as a production of LCT3, Lincoln Center Theaters programming initiative devoted to producing the work of new artists and developing new audiences. The National Theatre of Great Britain's acclaimed production of ONE MAN, TWO GUVNORS begins previews on April 6 and the official opening is April 18, 2012 at the Music Box Theatre (239 West 45th Street) on Broadway. ONE MAN, TWO GUVNORS is a comedy by Richard Bean, based on Carlo Goldoni's The Servant of Two Masters, with songs by Grant Olding, directed by Nicholas Hytner.
