VH1 and Palladia are celebrating Independence Day with fireworks and four-time Grammy award-winning band, The Roots for the third annual Philly 4 th of July Jam. Kicking off in the City of Brotherly Love, The Philly 4 th of July Jam, a signature event of the Wawa Welcome America! festival, will be simulcast on VH1 and Palladia on Thursday, July 4 from 8-11PM ET and live streamed on VH1.com. The one-hour special examines this socially, ethnically, religiously and economically diverse state that, just like in 2000, could determine the outcome of the presidential election. Mine Entertainment Group has announced a one-night only benefit performance of the one-act play, "Katrina Who?!" taking place tonight, September 19 (8PM) at The Zephyr Theatre in West Hollywood. Written and directed by Melanie Maria Goodreaux, "Katrina Who?!" honors the seventh anniversary of Hurricane Katrina through the personal stories of five NOLA residents who recount the destruction, devastation, survival and triumph in the aftermath of the deadliest and most destructive hurricane of 2005.
