Bill Thompson's SWELL Exhibition Re-Opens at Margaret Thatcher Projects, 12/15 by BWW
News Desk - Jan 11, 2013
Margaret Thatcher Projects has announced the re-opening of Swell, Bill Thompson's second solo exhibition at the gallery. The wall sculptures that constitute this exhibition reflect and absorb, shifting and growing as one moves around them. Solid objects not content with being static, their gleaming, pearlescent surfaces absorb the room they inhabit, reflecting back the space in their warped, monochromatic surfaces. The installation, extended through January 12, 2013, provides the viewer a unique, visual experience of mutating form and color as one moves about. Last week we cooked 200 meals which our friends at Douglas Elliman brought to a group of people they've 'adopted' in the Far Rockaways. More than 900 generous volunteers will join God's Love We Deliver staff, celebrities, local politicians, and board members in preparing and delivering a record 3,400 meals for people living with HIV/AIDS, cancer and other life altering illnesses in New York City, and nearby Hudson County, New Jersey.
