On May 19, 2012, a host of performers and dignitaries will take part in the 20th Anniversary Life Ball Gala at City Hall in Vienna Austria. An estimated 40,000 visitors will attend and millions will watch the live broadcast of Life Ball, Europe’s largest charity event supporting people with HIV or AIDS. This year’s speakers and performers include; President Bill Clinton, United Nations UNAIDS / Executive Director Michel Sidibé, actresses Milla Jovovich and Melanie Griffith, and poet Maya Angelou. Consisting of three timeless tales with more than a little laughter, tears, irony and a pinch of The Twilight Zone, and told against the backdrop of the presidential inaugurations of Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Barack Obama, Miss Hope's will be open for business starting May 23rd at the Sargent Theatre at the American Theatre of Actors, located at 314 West 54th Street. Korean soprano Sungji Kim and internationally renowned Meistersinger Caranza will be the headliners this coming Tuesday, May 1, at 8 PM in the recently opened Enrico Caruso Room at Little ItalyÂ’s legendary Grotta Azzurra Ristorante , located at 177 Mulberry Street on the corner of Broome Street.
