When Trustus Co-Founder Jim Thigpen directed the first Trustus show Luv in 1985, he did not know what to expect for the future of the company. Twenty-seven years later, Trustus Theatre is not only still in existence, but has grown into an institution of professional and provocative entertainment in the Midlands. In his last season as Artistic Director, Thigpen wanted his 'Swan Song' to be the Tony and Pulitzer Prize winning August: Osage County - a show that many theatre fans call one of the most breathtaking evenings they have experienced in the last 5 years. August: Osage County opens on the Trustus Main Stage at 8:00pm on Friday, October 21st.

The Actors Fund and the Vineyard Theatre have announced details for their upcoming one-night-only benefit concert performance of Kander & Ebb's THE VISIT, starring Broadway stage legends and Tony Award winners Chita Rivera and John Cullum. Directed by Carl Andress with choreography by Tony Award winner Ann Reinking and musical direction by David Loud, the performance will take place on Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at 7:30 p.m. at Broadway's Ambassador Theatre (219 West 49th Street), current home to the celebrated revival of Kander & Ebb's worldwide smash Chicago.

Eric Rosen, Artistic Director of Kansas City Repertory Theatre, has cast thirteen veteran Kansas City actors in the Rep's production of Tracy Letts' August: Osage County, which Rosen will direct. The show runs September 16-October 9 at the Rep's Spencer Theatre.

Executive Producer Lou Spisto today announced the complete cast and creative team for Tracy Letts' award-winning play, August: Osage County. Directed by Obie Award winner Sam Gold, the dark comedy will run in the Old Globe Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center, May 7 - June 12. Preview performances run May 7 - May 11. Opening night is Thursday, May 12 at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are currently available by subscription only. Single tickets will go on sale on Sunday, April 10 at 10:00 a.m. Tickets can be purchased online at www.TheOldGlobe.org, by phone at (619) 23-GLOBE or by visiting the Box Office at 1363 Old Globe Way in Balboa Park. American Stage Theatre Company announced Equity Performer and non-Equity auditions for its 2011-12 season on Monday, March 21 and Tuesday, March 22 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the theatre.
