Chita Rivera, Tony Danza, Susan Stroman, Albert Maysles, John Turturro, Tamara Tunie, Karen Ziemba, Melissa Errico, and more were among the star presenters at last night's 30th Annual Fred & Adele Astaire Awards at New York University's Skirball Center for the Performing Arts. The Astaire Awards are the only awards show to honor excellence in dance and choreography on Broadway and in film and were first started in 1982 by the late Fred Astaire and the late Douglas Watt (a critic and writer for the NY Daily News and The New Yorker). Producer Patricia Watt has announced that $25 Student Rush tickets will be available at the Skirball Center for the Performing at New York University tonight, June 4th at 7:00pm one half hour before curtain time of the 30th Fred & Adele Astaire Awards at the Skirball Center for the Performing Arts at New York University.

Going into the third week of ABC's DANCING WITH THE STARS after the elimination of tennis pro Martina Navratilova, the remaining contestants were given a unique assignment: rather than choose between one form of dance or another, they and their partners were opened up to any style. The catch: to center it around a personal EVENT, in order to open themselves up to the audience and viewers at home. Previously, it was known to create memorable routines that revealed the competitors as individuals, people - rather than celebrities and pseudo-celebrities vying for a nationally televised prize. The judges, were once again, overly gracious with their compliments, the critiques dulled.

Adam Lambert Arrested, Jailed in Finland After Public Brawl

Hollywoodreporter.com reports that 'American Idol' star Adam Lambert was arrested and jailed in Finland last night. According to the report, Finnish authorities were summoned to a Helsinki gay bar where Lambert and his boyfriend, Finnish reality star Sauli Koskinen were in a heated argument. Lambert was jailed for several hours and he and Koskinen are currently being interrogated over the incident.
