Gore Vidal's THE BEST MAN opened last night, Sunday, April 1st, 2012 at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre for a strictly limited 18 week engagement is directed by Drama Desk Award winner Michael Wilson (The Orphans Home Cycle Part I, II and III, Dividing The Estate). Gore Vidal's THE BEST MAN comes to Broadway in an all-star theatrical event with two time Tony Award winner James Earl Jones, Tony and Emmy Award winner John Larroquette, Emmy and Golden Globe winner Candice Bergen, Emmy Award winner Eric McCormack, Tony Award nominee Kerry Butler, Tony Award winner Jefferson Mays, Drama Desk Award winner Michael McKean and five time Tony Award winner Angela Lansbury.

J. Bernard Calloway to Return to MEMPHIS, 2/28

Original Broadway cast member J. Bernard Calloway will return to the company as "Delray," following his performance in the critically acclaimed Jitney at the Two River Theater Company. Calloway will resume performances on Tuesday, February 28th. Christopher Jackson played his final performance on Sunday, February 26th. ( more...)

Broadway's Memphis, winner of four Tony Awards® including Best Musical, Best Score, Best Book and Best Orchestrations, comes to THIRTEEN's Great Performances Friday, February 24 at 9 p.m. on PBS (check local listings). Featuring the original Broadway cast, including Tony nominees Chad Kimball and Montego Glover, as well as Derrick Baskin, J. Bernard Calloway, James Monroe Iglehart, Michael McGrath and Cass Morgan. Memphis is the historic first Best Musical Tony Award winner to air on U.S. national television with its original principals while simultaneously continuing a successful Broadway run and national tour. Bernard Calloway will return to the company as Delray, following his performance in the critically acclaimed Jitney at the Two River Theater Company. Christopher Jackson to Join MEMPHIS as 'Delray'

Hockadoo! The 2010 Tony winning Best Musical MEMPHIS announced today that Broadway veteran Christopher Jackson (In the Heights, The Lion King) will join the cast of MEMPHIS as Delray. Jackson is scheduled to begin performances on Tuesday, January 24th. Current Delray J. Bernard Calloway will play his final performance on Sunday, January 22nd, before taking a leave of absence to appear in Two River Theater Companys production of August Wilsons Jitney. Calloway is expected to return to MEMPHIS February 28th.

The 2010 Tony winning Best Musical MEMPHIS welcomed Tony Nominee Adam Pascal as "Huey Calhoun," beginning performances on Tuesday, October 25th and the show celebrated Pascal's joining the show AND the actor's birthday backstage (with a little help from Crumbs Bake Shop). We were there to join in the tasty fun!

Shout! Factory and Broadway Worldwide, Inc. today announced a new deal to bring Broadway's 2010 Tony Award®-winning Best Musical MEMPHIS to the home entertainment marketplace in the U.S. and Canada. Under this multi-year agreement, Shout! Factory will be the exclusive home entertainment distributor to release MEMPHIS featuring the original Broadway cast, on Blu-rayTM, DVD and for digital download. This announcement was made by Shout! JEKYLL & HYDE, SMOKEY JOE'S CAFE, et al. Coming to the Big Screen Worldwide

Suervision Media and Broadway Worldwide have plans to bring a handful of Broadway favorites to the big screen in the near future- Memphis, Jekyll & Hyde, Putting It Together, and Smokey Joe's Cafe will all make there way to theatres around the world. Memphis will reach the UK and Ireland in November, and South Africa and Hong Kong later this year. The other three shows will reach Europe January- March 2012, and then the rest of the world in April. ( more...)

The 2010 Tony winning Best Musical MEMPHIS welcomed legendary radio personality and author, "Cousin Brucie" Morrow to the Shubert theatre for a special one week only cameo appearance last night, May 3, 2011. He will play in the show through Sunday May 8, 2011. This event coincides with the release of Cousin Brucie's paperback edition, Rock & Roll...And the Beat Goes On; which is a tribute to the great musicians of the 50s, 60s and 70s. Autographed copies of the book are available at the theatre during his show appearances. ( more...)
