THE SONG OF EDDIE KING, a modern day Oedipus, will be presented as a reading by FRIENDS ALWAYS CREATING (FACT) THEATRE as part of a benefit evening being held Monday, May 20th at 7:00PM at Roy Arias Theatre, 300 West 43rd Street. The evening will consist of an hour long reading of the new play, an auction and raffle and wine and a talk back with the author of the play, Jamesai Schempp. (more...)

bergenPAC's 8th Annual Gala Will Feature Barry Manilow

Bergen Performing Arts Center will celebrate the 8th Annual Gala with musical icon Barry Manilow. Chairman, Edmondo Schwartz said, "We are honored and excited that Barry Manilow will be performing at our gala this year. Support for 2013 Gala is invaluable, as funds raised will benefit the planned renovations of the newly acquired home of The Performing Arts School at bergenPAC at 1 Depot Square." The Performing Arts School at bergenPAC will now reside in a new building, with classes offered in theater, music, and dance. The Performing Arts School provides top quality performing arts instruction to families and children that stimulates learning and sparks creativity and imagination. (more...)

Lee Mead (Wicked, Legally Blonde, BBC Series Winner of Any Dream Will Do) will be joined by special guest star Kerry Ellis for selected performances (Wicked, Oliver, We Will Rock You, Born Free Tour with Brian May) in The West End Men, running at the Vaudeville Theatre from 25 May until 22 June, with press night on 3 June 2013. The West End Men is directed by the award winning Mitch Sebastian (The Rat Pack Live from Las Vegas) and produced by Milton Morrissey Ltd, Jason Haigh Ellery and in association with Paul Tyrer & Jamie Clark for The Booking Office.
