Bay Street Theatre held its Second Annual Honors Benefit on Saturday, April 27 at East Hampton Point, hosted by funny-lady and Bay Street Thatre Board Member Joy Behar. This year the honorees were Hampton's Hometown Heroes including David Bray, Ana R. Daniel, Michael Grim and James Osburn. All four of the honorees support Bay Street as well as many other local businesses & non-profits in the Hampton's Community. The event is held Spring each year, not only to recognize outstanding patron involvement, but also to raise funds for its theatrical and educational programs. The evening benefited Guild Hall and The Felix Organization/Adoptees For Children whose mission is to enrich the lives of children growing up in the foster care system. (more...)

Geraldine Aron, the playwright for this American Premiere attended the after party in the lobby along with other theatre veterans including Blythe Danner, TEd Hartley and Dina Merrill, John McDaniel, Terrence McNally, Joe Pintauro, Mercedes Ruehl, Sloan Shelton, and Harris Yulin. Darrell Hammond Kicks Off Bay Street's 20th Season with Benefit

Bay Street Theatre celebrated the kickoff to its 20th Season with a Spring Benefit on April 3. The event was themed around Truman Capote, who is the subject of the first Mainstage Show beginning May 31 entitled TRU, starring SNL'S Darrell Hammond; directed by Judith Ivey. The event started with a brunch with Darrell Hammond at The American Hotel, followed by a champagne toast, raffles, piano music back at Bay Street Theatre and the screening of BREAKFAST AT TIFFANY'S, based on the book by Truman Capote. One lucky attendee won the raffle for a new silver beaded Tiffany & Co. necklace donated by a patron for the event. There was also a contest for the best Audrey Hepburn costume. Attached is a photo of all the Audrey Hepburn costume entries. The winners won a framed set of photos of Audrey Hepburn and a book about Hepburn provided by Canios Books. (more...)

The Best of Broadway and Cabaret came out to support the Actors Temple (est. 1923) on Sunday, November 21, 2010. Located at 339 West 47th Street, this theater district landmark has fallen on hard times in recent years and so member, producer Randie Levine-Miller spoke to Rabbi Jill Hausman and said, 'Let's put on a musical -- benefit!' The rabbi was delighted, so Randie reached out to some of her theater and cabaret friends, and voila! The concert took place at the temple at 7:30 PM with 18 extraordinary (many award winning) performers: (in alphabetical order) Raissa Katona Bennett, Christina Bianco, Len Cariou, Douglas J. Cohen, Eric Comstock, Jamie deRoy, Barbara Fasano, Beth Fowler, Anita Gillette, Jackie Hoffman, George S. Irving, Alice Levine, Kurt Peterson, Wade Preston, Steve Ross, Cheryl Stern, Sal Viviano, Martin Vidnovic. Dennis Buck was the musical director. Producer Levine-Miller was the host the event. Legendary members of the congregation included: Joey Adams, Jack Benny, Milton Berle, Red Buttons, Eddie Cantor, George Jessel, Al Jolson, Sandy Koufax, Jack E.
