Last night, Saturday, May 11, the restaurant at Hakkasan Las Vegas at MGM Grand was buzzing as it was packed with A-Listers who dined on the world-renowned Cantonese cuisine created by Michelin-star Chef Ho Chee Boon. Singer and songwriter Ke$ha threw a surprise birthday party for one of her creative directors in the private dining room. While Emmy Award-winning actor Kelsey Grammer and wife Kayte Walsh along with actress Vanessa Hudgens and boyfriend Austin Butler of 'The Carrie Diaries' also dined at the restaurant for a mutual friend's birthday. Vision Films Picks Up Duff McKagan Documentary

Vision Films, a worldwide distributor of independent films, has announced today that the company has secured worldwide distribution rights to former Guns N' Roses bassist Duff McKagan's auto-biographical documentary, IT'S SO EASY AND OTHER LIES. Based on the New York Times best seller about Duff's life, the film, which is written and directed by Christopher Duddy (“Cougar Club”), and is produced by McKagan, Duddy and Rainstorm Entertainment's Steven G. Kaplan (“The Big Empty”). The film is executive produced by Daniel Zirilli (“Locked Down”), Joe Mundo (“Sunset Strip”) and Kati Thomson (“Sunset Strip”).

Rainstorm Entertainment has announced that it will produce the biographical documentary IT'S SO EASY AND OTHER LIES, which will be directed and produced by Christopher Duddy ("Cougar Club"). The film will be produced by Steven G. Kaplan ("The Big Empty", "F*CK" and "Sunset Strip") for Rainstorm Entertainment, and by former Guns N' Roses bassist Duff McKagan, whose life story the film is based on. The start date is scheduled for later this year. Executive producers include Daniel Zirilli ("Locked Down"), Joe Mundo ("Sunset Strip"), Christopher Shelburne and Kati Thomson ("Sunset Strip").

This past weekend, Gateway Playhouse in Bellport, New York jumpstarted their 2012 season with Andrew Lloyd Webber's Cats. The winner of the Tony Award for Best Musical in 1982, Cats still holds the distinction for second longest running musical on Broadway despite the fact that the show closed in 2000.
