Marc Ribot’s Ceramic Dog – the visionary post-fusion rock trio comprising guitarist/songwriter/activist Marc Ribot, bassist Shahzad Ismaily, and drummer/percussionist Ches Smith – have announced plans for a West Coast co-headline tour alongside groundbreaking jazz quartet The Bad Plus.

From the acclaimed PASTICHENYC, who recently brought audiences Jane Austen's Persuasion Song Cycle and Edith Wharton's The House of Mirth Song Cycle comes the World Premiere of sparkling 8-part comedic, musical, radio drama series, original and unique, GRACE UNDER PRESSURE follows the simple story of a woman alone in New York in the '90s, an age of diminished expectations.

PASTICHENYC and The Mount, Edith Wharton's Home, will present a special event which includes the complete series of Edith Wharton's The House of Mirth Song Cycle, written and directed by Emily King plus a talkback 'Wharton, Rosedale, and Anti-Semitism' with King and Wharton Scholar Lev Raphael.

Two of Broadway’s most beloved performers, Anita Gillette and Penny Fuller, took to the stage at Birdland on Monday, April 17 for their latest song and story compilation: “Sin Twisters: The Next Frontier.”

By popular demand, The Quintin Harris Trio returned to Chelsea Table+Stage on April 1st as a quintet with Sam AuBuchon on bass, Marlen Suero-Amparo on drums, Dakarai Barclay on trumpet, and Ben Lindenburg on tenor sax. Check out photos here!

MAC nominee and Broadway World Award Winner, Becca Kidwell adds an additional performance of her highly praised show, TOGETHER INSIDE, on Friday, June 10th at 7pm at Don't Tell Mama in addition to her performance on Sunday, May 22nd at 4pm. 

Today, Wainwright and his band announced that the performances will feature special guests including Laura Benanti (June 5), Mx Justin Vivian Bond (June 8), and Molly Ringwald (June 10), with more to be announced in the coming weeks.

New York Festival of Song, led by Artistic Director Steven Blier, continues its 2021-22 Mainstage Series with Love Songs in 176 Keys: 4 hands, 4 voices, 4 countries on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at 8:00pm at Merkin Hall, co-presented by Kaufman Music Center.

The song’s release comes at the cusp of Pride Month and was recorded for the singer’s upcoming virtual concert event: Rufus Does Judy at Capitol Studios. That concert sees Wainwright performing his groundbreaking 2007 tribute to Judy Garland, Rufus Does Judy at Carnegie Hall, in its entirety, live from Los Angeles’ famed Capitol Studios.

Rufus Does Judy at Capitol Studios will see Wainwright performing his groundbreaking 2007 tribute to Judy Garland, Rufus Does Judy at Carnegie Hall, in its entirety, live from Los Angeles' famed Capitol Studios.

On February 26, the venerated multi-instrumentalist and composer Joe Chambers will release Samba de Maracatu, a notable Blue Note Records return for a significant figure in the label’s history. The album’s Brazilian flavored title track “Samba de Maracatu,” is available today to stream or download.
