"ANNIE's Search for Sandy," a 30-minute television special about the nationwide search to find the canine star of Broadway's new production of the Tony Award-winning classic musical, ANNIE, will air on Saturday, October 27 and Sunday, October 28 on NBC stations around the country, including the 10 NBC-owned stations serving the following markets: New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, San Francisco Bay Area, Dallas-Ft. Worth, Washington, D.C., San Diego and Connecticut, as well as the NBC affiliate in Nashville. ANNIE, the new production of the classic Tony AwardŽ-winning musical, is now on sale. ANNIE, which features a Tony AwardŽ-winning score by Charles Strouse and Martin Charnin and a Tony AwardŽ-winning book by Thomas Meehan, will be directed by three-time Tony AwardŽ-winner James Lapine and choreographed by Tony AwardŽ-winner Andy Blankenbuehler. Murray Abraham, Christine Baranski, John Cullum, David Harbour, Bill Irwin, Sandra Oh, Phylicia Rashad, Michael Stuhlbarg, and Sharon Washington will join Kevin Kline as Romeo and Meryl Streep as Juliet in a one-night-only benefit reading of ROMEO AND JULIET on Monday, June 18 - the 50th Anniversary of the opening of the Delacorte Theater in Central Park. Broadway's ANNIE Names Orphans!

After more than 5,000 auditions in a coast-to-coast search, ANNIE has announced casting for the orphans for the new production of the classic Tony Award-winning Broadway musical. ANNIE will open on Broadway in Fall 2012 at a Nederlander theatre to be announced. The production will be directed by three-time Tony Award winner James Lapine and choreographed by Tony Award winner Andy Blankenbuehler. (more...)
