Just a little over a month after cancellation, Lifetime has officially revived the once-dead DROP DEAD DIVA for a fifth season.

According to Deadline, Lifetime has officially pulled the plug on DROP DEAD DIVA after four seasons.

Madison Gate Records will release Drop Dead Diva: Music From The Original Television Series, Vol. 2 today, September 4, 2012 exclusively on iTunes. The digital only EP features a selection of hand-picked and fan-favorite tracks from seasons 3 and 4 of the Sony Pictures Television dramedy, an original recording by 'Drop Dead Diva' series regular Margaret Cho and a new score suite by series composer Scott Starrett. The album also features an exclusive track by The Daylights titled 'The Last Thing We'll Ever Do' and is available for download only days before the highly anticipated fourth season finale of 'Drop Dead Diva' on Sunday, Sept. 9 at 9pm on Lifetime.

Lifetime's critically acclaimed hit series, Drop Dead Diva, returns for a fourth season with 13 new episodes premiering tonight, June 3, at 9pm ET/PT. Joining the series' roster of top name guest stars is Kim Kardashian (Keeping Up with the Kardashians) who makes her multiple episode debut in the season opener. The one-hour, comedic drama tells the story of a shallow wannabe model who dies in a sudden accident only to find her soul resurfacing in the body of a brilliant, plus-size and recently deceased attorney, Jane. Kim Kardashian joins the cast of Lifetime's critically acclaimed Sony Pictures Television series 'Drop Dead Diva' for a multiple-episode arc beginning with the season premiere. The show's fourth season is set to begin filming in February, with new episodes premiering this summer.

Lifetime has renewed its hit scripted series Drop Dead Diva for a fourth season, to premiere in 2012, with a 13 episode order. The announcement was made today by Nancy Dubuc, President and General Manager of Lifetime Networks.
