4th Annual SoLow Festival Set for June 20-30

With works that celebrate the solstice to performances inside a Chinese Restaurant, the 4th annual SoLow Festival is experimenting with the theme of "Loners and Rebels." SoLow Festival is an inexpensive artistic event dedicated to presenting new and experimental work in a collective manner. With over twenty performing artists June 20th to 30th, SoLow focuses on the artistic creation and growth of solo artists conceiving new work with low or no-cost risk. The productions will be presented at a variety of non-traditional venues throughout the city (and one in Cincinnati, OH). Audiences and artists are invited to experience the original, unique, and experimental of SoLow Festival with affordable Pay What You Can performances. (more...)

90210 to End Five-Season Run This May

Independent theatre non-company [ad hoc theatre project] re-ignites for the 2012 Philadelphia Fringe Festival with a devised piece built off the backbone of William Shakespeare's Othello, set in the back room of a local whiskey go-go bar. Othello, Desdemona, & Iago Walk Into A Bar runs September 8th-23rd every day at 6pm (weekdays during happy hour) at the Trestle Inn on 11th & Callowhill. (more...)

The CW Announces 2012-13 Broadcast Schedule

The CW Network presented its 2012-13 broadcast schedule today to advertisers, affiliates and national media at the New York City Center in New York City. CW Announced 2010-2011 Primetime Line-up

The CW Network unveiled the schedule for its 2010-2011 season today at a presentation for advertisers, affiliates and national media in the Theater at Madison Square Garden, where singer Katy Perry rocked the house to open the show. Clockwork Theater Announces Cast For McManus' CHERRY SMOKE

The Clockwork Theatre is pleased to announce the cast for their upcoming production of CHERRY SMOKE by JAMES McMANUS (winner of the 2006 Princess Grace Playwriting Award), directed by JADE KING CARROLL. The title role of Cherry will be portrayed by MARIANNA McCLELLAN, with JAY ROHLOFF playing opposite her in the role of Fish. Mr. Rohloff, who serves as Clockwork's Artistic Director, was most recently seen in the company's revival of Caryl Churchill's A Number at Theatre Row in September, 2008, for which he received praise for portraying a man and two very unique clones of that man. The Clockwork Theatre is pleased to announce the production of Apartment 3A, written by acclaimed actor Jeff Daniels and directed by Owen Smith. Apartment 3A will play a 3-week limited engagement at Off-Broadway's Beckett Theatre (410 West 42nd Street--between 9th & 10th Aves.) Performances begin Saturday, January 26th through Saturday, February 16th. Opening Night is Friday, February 1st (8 p.m.). (more...)
