DCT Opens THE 1940'S RADIO HOUR, 2/22-3/3

Swing back to a time when music was grand and life seemed easier. Dundalk Community Theatre celebrates the glorious music of the 1940's with a comedy set inside a radio studio, broadcasting a Christmas Special to the boys overseas, fighting the war in 1942. This isn't your typical musical, and not to be missed. The 1940's Radio Hour, runs 6 performances only, from Feb 22 to March 3rd. Individual tickets are $23 for adults, $20 for senior adults and $15 for students/DCT Actors/Children 12 and under. (more...)

The 1940's Radio Hour, a musical comedy by Walton Jones (based on an idea he hatched with Carol Lees,) takes you on a trip to Christmas season, 1942. Members of the "Mutual Manhattan Variety Cavalcade," are preparing a final holiday broadcast for the troops fighting World War II. It's getting close to airtime at WOV in New York City, and the zany group is coping with backstage drama that threatens to botch their broadcast. Will they be ready in time? (more...)

Craig Schulman, a Yorktown resident, is the only actor to have starred in three of the most extraordinary musicals ever written - Jekyll & Hyde, The Phantom of the Opera, and Les Misérables, with more than 2,000 performances of Jean Valjean on Broadway and around the world. Craig and his friends will sing the hits from a wide range of musicals, including the Broadway shows that made them the stars they are today. (more...)
