Live performance venue Joe’s Pub at the Public Theater turns 25 this fall, and will celebrate through its epic programming with an emphasis on “Presenting New York.” Artists from across genres, across the five boroughs, and the world will take the stage throughout the 2023-2024 season.

The Public will premiere new musicals and plays by Pulitzer Prize finalist Kristoffer Diaz, 15-time Grammy Award winner Alicia Keys, Tony Award winner Itamar Moses, Emerging Writers Group alumni Mary Kathryn Nagle and Ife Olujobi, Pulitzer Prize winner and Writer-in-Residence Suzan- Lori Parks, and Jonathan Larson Grant recipient Benjamin Velez.

Mitchell was joined on stage at the Newport Folk Festival by a star-studded band led by Carlile, the 9x GRAMMY®-winning singer/songwriter. Other performers included Carlile’s bandmates Phil and Tim Hanseroth, Wynonna Judd, Marcus Mumford, Celisse, Jess Wolfe and Holly Laessig of Lucius, Taylor Goldsmith of Dawes, and more.

Joe’s Pub will present a work-in-progress presentation of The Navigator, a new musical by musician Alynda Segarra and playwright C. Julian Jiménez on June 9 and 10, 2023.

Queen Kidjo will hold court during season 15 of the award-winning documentary series AfroPoP: The Ultimate Cultural Exchange.

CHELSEA TABLE + STAGE will present acclaimed vocalist Tawanda, winner of the 2020 Sarah Vaughan Vocal Jazz Competition and the 2023 Bistro Award for Jazz Vocalist – on Thursday, April 20 at 7:00 PM.

The Performing Arts Center, Purchase College will close out its 2022-2023 season on Saturday, April 15 with a live performance by five-time Grammy Award winner Angélique Kidjo.

Musical artists will join the national library and American leaders to honor music legend Joni Mitchell. The lineup will include performances by James Taylor, Brandi Carlile, Annie Lennox, Herbie Hancock, Cyndi Lauper, Marcus Mumford, Graham Nash, Diana Krall and Angelique Kidjo. The concert is by invitation only.

The KI KI Experience, a brand- new sound of Alt. Rock, Funk, and Soul- enriched with breathtakingly warm and powerful vocals, will headline at New York City's legendary Joe's Pub for the first time on Saturday February 4, 2023.

On Saturday, November 12th at 8 pm, ten-time Academy Award-winning masterpiece, The Godfather, will be screened and performed with a 61-piece orchestra in celebration of the iconic film's 50th anniversary, produced by CineConcerts and presented by Massimo Gallotta Productions.

Somi is preparing to make her debut performance at Carnegie Hall with her own band on November 18.  This highly-anticipated debut concert will offer a transatlantic mix of modern jazz, soul, and African pop, calling upon Somi's all-star tribute to the great “Mama Africa” on Zenzile.

Direct from South Africa, the three-time Grammy-winning Soweto Gospel Choir brings an all new concert commemorating the freedom movement in South Africa and the Civil Rights movement in the United States to Gettysburg College's Majestic Theater on Monday, Nov. 21 at 7:30 p.m.

Vamos dançar! WMI's third club night in their new Let's Dance series celebrates the 20th anniversary of NYC-based Brazilian expats Forró in the Dark. The group mixes the driving beats of forró - a style of rural party music from Northeastern Brazil - with rock, psychedelia, and more into a unique musical melting pot that has attracted collaborators including David Byrne, Bebel Gilberto, Angelique Kidjo, Gilberto Gil, and Miho Hatori, among others. Born in New York City and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Gaspar Muniz grew up in an intensely artistic environment.

BAM Live at Fort Greene Park, is a free concert series that brings Brooklyn residents together for live outdoor music and performances. Produced by Danny Kapilian, this year's concerts will take place over two weekends—Saturdays and Sundays, October 1 & 2 and October 8 & 9.
