Paris Photo Concludes Successful Art Fair in Los Angeles by BWW News Desk - Apr 29, 2013
Paris Photo Los Angeles concluded Sunday with genuine excitement over the inaugural United States edition of the renowned Paris fair for artworks in the photographic medium. Over 13,500 visitors flocked to the historic Paramount Pictures Studios to view works by masters and emerging artists from an international roster of exhibitors, including 60 galleries and 12 booksellers from cities such as Los Angeles, New York, Paris, London, Mexico City, Seoul, Tokyo, Hong Kong, St. Moritz, Marrakech, Amsterdam, Vienna, Berlin and more. Over the past twenty four hours, many of America's most recognized brand names and Hollywood's biggest stars have joined millions of people around the world in sharing a modified red version of the Human Rights Campaign's (HRC) logo in support of marriage equality. HRC, the nation's largest lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender civil rights organization, launched a social media campaign Monday afternoon in conjunction with two marriage cases before the Supreme Court this week, in an effort to raise awareness and help showcase the broad and diverse support for marriage equality. She may have lost her page position on NBC's 30 ROCK, but Kristen Schaal is on the rebound. According to Deadline, the actress/comedian, best known for her role as 'Hazel' on the recently wrapped ROCK, has signed on to replace MAndy Moore in ABC's upcoming comedy pilot PULLING. She joins Jenny Slate (yes, of MARCEL THE SHELL) and June Diane Raphael (NTSF:SD:SUV::) for the project from ABC and Kapital Entertainment. (more...)

Most entertainment outlets in Columbia are providing holiday-inspired fare in December. However, Trustus Theatre - always pursuing an opportunity to bring something fresh and different to the table - is offering a musical comedy about friends writing a musical about writing a musical. [TITLE OF SHOW] - taken from the space on a music theatre festival's application form which asks for the [title of show] - is a piece that hilariously and irreverently follows creative artists through the gauntlet of self-expression under a deadline. [TITLE OF SHOW] opens on the Thigpen Main Stage December 7th, 2012 at 8:00pm. The show runs through December 16th. TRON: UPRISING Soundtrack Inspired by Disney XD Animated Series Set for Digital Release, 1/8 by TV News Desk - Dec 20, 2012
Walt Disney Records will release the soundtrack for TRON: Uprising, the Disney XD animated television series inspired by the films TRON (1982) and TRON: Legacy (2010) on January 8, 2013. The TRON: Uprising soundtrack features the original score from the series composed by Joseph Trapanese and will be available in digital format and also via Amazon's Disc on Demand. In addition to the 16 tracks provided by Trapanese, TRON: Uprising soundtrack also includes remixes from 3OH!3 and J.T., Opiuo, David Hiller , and a brand new track from Hollywood Records' rising EDM star, 16-year-old Cole Plante , entitled 'Rezolution.'
