ATG Productions and Underbelly, the producers of CABARET at the KIT KAT CLUB in London's West End have announced the Prologue Company, ahead of the production's first preview performance on Monday 15 November 2021.

The critically-acclaimed musical, based on Roddy Doyle's 1986 book of the same name, stars Coronation Street legend Kevin Kennedy as Jimmy's Da. It also features many of the cast from the show's two-years at London's Palace Theatre, including Brian Gilligan, who will reprise his starring role of Deco, and Andrew Linnie as Jimmy Rabbitte.

We're in Dublin and it's 1986. Jimmy and his musician friends are fed up of art school synth music and want to bring soul music back to the people. However, for a show that proclaims on countless occasions that soul is 'the music of the people' and eulogises about it's importance- it is evening strangely devoid of that very thing.

The Scottish premiere of The Commitments will hit all the right notes as it opens on Monday ahead of its three-week run at Theatre Royal, Glasgow.

Coronation Street legend, Kevin Kennedy, is to star as Jimmy's Da in the UK tour of the critically acclaimed musical The Commitments written by Roddy Doyle, starting in October 2016.

Last month the production had is Irish Premiere in Dublin, where Roddy Doyle's story of The Commitments was born, and is now touring across the UK, currently booking until 13 May 2017.

Casting has been completed for the upcoming concert production of Howard Goodall's The Hired Man.
