Just days after calling on the controversial Miami Seaquarium to free the marine park's lone orca, Lolita, big-hearted Tony Award winner Alan Cumming was recognized with PETA's Humanitarian Award during a special Valentine's Day bash in Fort Lauderdale on Sunday. The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County has been recognized by Hermes Creative Awards with eight awards in the 2016 international competition. The Center received three platinum and two gold awards as well as three honorable mentions for its communication and design strategies in various campaigns, including Lookingglass Alice, Vibrant @10, AileyCamp Miami and season brochures.

The American Shakespeare Center's Spring Season production of ARMS AND THE MAN by George Bernard Shaw opened Friday, April 29, and runs through June 11 at the Blackfriars Playhouse, in Staunton, VA.  The production features Andrew Goldwasser as Captain Bluntschli, Zoe Speas as Raina Petkoff, and Josh Innerst as Sergius Saranoff.
