Heartwarming and hilarious, the musical theatre adaption of TOOTSIE has its Australian Premiere at Teatro At The Italian Forum. 

An additional and final week of performances has been added to the Australian premiere season of the Broadway smash hit THE PROM, now playing at Teatro at the Italian Forum in Leichhardt, Sydney

THE PROM, the hilarious new musical with a heartwarming outcome from Matthew Sklar (Music), Chad Beguelin (Lyrics and Book) and Bob Martin (Book), finally arrives in Australia, premiering at the new Teatro At The Italian Forum Theatre in Leichhardt. 

The Australian premiere of TOOTSIE will feature a newly announced cast, set to debut in Sydney. This marks the first production of the musical in Australia.

The 2025 Sydney Theatre Awards have announced their winners, celebrating outstanding achievements in theatre across various categories.

The inaugural musical at the newly revitalized Teatro at the Italian Forum will be The Addams Family, opening this October. The Tony Award-nominated, global smash-hit musical will feature a cast of Australia’s newest musical theatre stars from the acclaimed THEatreBRIDGE program.

Sydney’s Inner West will soon be home to a brand-new professional theatre, as Teatro at the Italian Forum opens its doors in Leichhardt this October. The 300-seat venue will launch with a full-scale production of The Addams Family, followed by the Australian premiere of Broadway’s The Prom in 2026.

Tonight at Hayes Theatre Co in Sydney, the 2018 season of musicals and cabaret was announced at an event attended by the musical theatre industry and patrons. Going into its fifth year of programming this is the first time an entire year has been announced.
