The Creative Coalition announces the formation of the Arts Corps, a volunteer program that marshals leadership from the arts and entertainment arenas to help save arts funding in the public school systems. This all-volunteer brigade will work with school boards, policy makers, parents, and other community leaders to encourage support for the arts in state educational budgets.

According to EWOnline, actress Dana Delany will be making a return visit to ABC's DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES sometime before the series finale in May.

This project will mark critically acclaimed Indian director S.V. Krishna Reddy's U.S. directorial debut. Krishna Reddy, Bala Rajasekharuni, and Robert Naturman wrote the screenplay. Venkat will produce with Ram serving as an executive producer. M.S.P. Srinivas Reddy is co-producer. Shooting will commence this month in Los Angeles.

AIDS Project Los Angeles (APLA) announced today that a range of celebrities -- including Tom Hanks & Rita Wilson, Kathy Griffin, La Toya Jackson, Olivia Newton-John, Andrea Bowen, Jackie Collins, Joan Collins, Seth Green, Robert Greenblatt, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Pauley Perrette, and many more - are lending their support to Art Project Los Angeles, a star-studded, charity art auction and gala benefiting APLA.

TVGuide.com reports that Lois Smith will be the newest member of Wasteria Lane this upcoming season, playing the role of 'Allison Scavo,' mother to 'Tom (played by Soug Savant). Smith's character will be taking up residence with 'Lynette' (Felicity Huffman) and 'Tom' in order to help him beat a case of postpartum depression.

TVGuide reports that Lainie Kazan will guest star in a multi-episode arc on ABC's primetime soap opera 'Desperate Housewives'. Kazan will be Teri Hatcher's character Susan's new entrepreneur neighbor. The seventh season of 'Desperate Housewives' also added Brian Austin Green and Vanessa Williams.

'Monty Python's Spamalot,' the popular musical lovingly ripped-off from the internationally famous comedy team's most popular motion picture, 'Monty Python and the Holy Grail,' opened Center Theatre Group's 2009-2010 at the Ahmanson Theatre of the Los Angeles Music Center on July 7th. 'Monty Python's Spamalot' plays through September 6, 2009.

Desperate Housewives, series creator Marc Cherry spoke to E!Online's Marc Malkin and announced his desire to bring some of the great ladies of the stage and screen to Wisteria Lane in the future.

TV Guide is reporting that the ABC series 'Desperate Housewives' may extend with two more additional seasons. Marc Cherry, the series creator announced his hope of continuing at an ABC ceremony celebrating the 100th episode.
