The earth is still moving at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre, but only until October 27, 2019. As BroadwayWorld previously reported, the musical, based on life of recording superstar Carole King, will conclude its record-breaking Broadway run in just over a month.

The new Paramount School of the Arts will celebrate its Grand Opening on Saturday, June 1, 2019, a date that will launch a new era for the live performing arts in downtown Aurora.

Sunday was a very good day for Patti LuPone at the Laurence Olivier Awards. American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.) rings in 2019 with Edward Albee's Pulitzer Prize-winning play, Seascape. In her A.C.T. directorial debut, Artistic Director and Tony Award winner Pam MacKinnon-hailed as "the most prolific of directors of Edward Albee's plays" (The Daily Beast)-continues her career-long exploration of American theater's legendary playwright. Steppenwolf Theatre Company Artistic Director Anna D. Shapiro announced today the addition of Rajiv Joseph and Karen Rodriguez to the world-renowned Steppenwolf ensemble.
