Produced by Robyn Goodman, Scott M. Delman and Amanda Lipitz, THE PERFORMERS cast includes Cheyenne Jackson, Ari Graynor, Daniel Breaker, Jenni Barber with Alicia Silverstone and Henry Winkler. David West Read's new romantic comedy will begin preview performances on Broadway October 23 prior to its official opening night November 14 at the Longacre Theatre (220 W. 48 St.) in New York City.

Delman and Amanda Lipitz just announced that Alicia Silverstone is joining Cheyenne Jackson, Ari Graynor, Daniel Breaker, Jenni Barber and Henry Winkler in THE PERFORMERS, completing the cast of David West Read's new Broadway comedy. The New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) today announced the selections for the 2011 Next Link Project, NYMF's primary writer service program. The Next Link Project empowers emerging musical theatre writing teams as both artists and entrepreneurs by providing the training and relationships needed to help them move their musicals from readings to fully-realized productions and to advance their careers by maximizing the exposure they receive in the Festival. Twelve of the Festival's full production slots are reserved for participants in The Next Link Project. (more...)

Broadway, film, and television stars including - Alec Baldwin '94 (30 Rock), Broadway legend Elaine Stritch (At Liberty), Rainn Wilson '89 (The Office) and Mariska Hargitay (Law & Order: SVU) - were all on hand at Tisch on Stage, the annual gala benefiting NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. Baldwin, along with philanthropist and patron of the arts Iris Cantor; inventor, philanthropist, and patron of Tisch's Kanbar Institute of Film and Television Maurice Kanbar; and 'architect of American regional theater' Zelda Fichandler were honored at the gala on November 17th at the Frederick P.
