SHREK to Undergo Changes for West End; New Characters & Design

According to a report by Baz Bamigboye in UK Daily Mail, the upcoming West End production of Shrek will receive many changes before opening at Theatre Royal. The cast will be lead by Nigel Lindsey as Shrek, Nigel Harman as Lord Farquaad, Richard Blackwood as Donkey, and Amanda Holden as Princess Fiona.

According to a report by Mail Online, in addtion to Nigel Lindsay, who will be playing the title character, Nigel Harmen, Richard Blackwood, and Amanda Holden will be joining the upcoming London production of Shrek as Lord Farquaad, Donkey and Princess Fiona respectively.

UK Daily Mail reports that Amanda Holden, a judge for 'Britain's Got Talent,' has been cast as 'Princess Fiona' in the West End production of SHREK. A contract has yet to be signed, though the casting has been finalized. Rehearsals for the Theatre Royal Drury Lane musical are expected to begin in the spring, with previews beginning in May. Holden previously worked with Rob Ashford on THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE.
