Cirque du Soleil executives have revealed the name of its highly anticipated new production tribute to the life and music of Elvis Presley: Viva ELVIS. The show will be directed by choreographer Vincent Paterson, and will run at the new ARIA Resort & Casino at CityCenter in Las Vegas. Performances begin on December 18.

According to a report in London's Daily Mail this morning, powerhouse producer Cameron Mackintosh is planning a big screen version of his international monster hit, Les Miserables. Reportedly, Macintosh has teamed up with the London-based film studio Working Title to collaborate on the project.

A remake of the 1980 original hit film FAME swings into theaters tonight, September 25. Like the original, this interpretation will follow a talented and tenacious group of dancers, singers, actors, and artists over four years at the New York City High School of Performing Arts. Collider.com got the scoop on the upcoming Fame film, with an interview with Lakeshore's President/Producer Gary Lucchesi. Amongst the details revealed are that the film, which begins shooting in November will feature unknowns as the students, but 'recognizable' teachers. Set in the present day, the $25-30 million film will feature all new music except for the classic title song.
