Monterey Media Acquires THE CITIZEN with Agnes Bruckner

monterey media has completed a deal with production company 3K Pictures for all US and Canada rights to Sam Kadi's debut drama THE CITIZEN starring Agnes Bruckner (BLOOD AND CHOCOLATE, THE WOODS), Khaled Nabawy (Fair Game, Kingdom of Heaven), William Atherton (GHOSTBUSTERS, THE LAST SAMURAI), and Cary Elwes (THE PRINCESS BRIDE, NEW YEAR'S EVE) with a theatrical release set for August 2013 as it was announced by monterey media's President Scott Mansfield. 3K Pictures announces today that veteran sales agent Mimi Steinbauer and her company Radiant Films International is handling all worldwide rights excluding North America to director Sam Kadi's debut drama THE CITIZEN. Previously, Steinbauer has handled international sales on titles such as Academy Award winning THE HURT LOCKER, GHOSTRIDER: SPIRIT OF VENGEANCE 3D, BLUE VALENTINE and the box office phenomenon LORD OF THE RINGS trilogy. THE CITIZEN was produced by Kadi, Chris Wyatt (NAPOLEON DYNAMITE) and Alan Noel Vega, with Ameer Kabour executive producing. The film is currently scheduled to screen for distributors at the upcoming American Film Market after the international premiere at the Abu Dhabi Film Festival on October 14th. (more...)
