SONDHEIM ON SONDHEIM Cast Recording Gets 8/31 Release

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, PS Classics, the label dedicated to the heritage of Broadway and American popular song, recorded the original Broadway cast album of SONDHEIM ON SONDHEIM on June 6th and 7th. The production, presented by Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director), began performances at Studio 54 on March 19th, opened officially on April 22nd and will close on June 27th. Today, it has been announced that the album will be available beginning August 31, 2010 in both online and retail outlets.
The track list has now been unveiled on Amazon.com.

Jeff Buckley Musical, The Last Goodbye, Closes at Williamstown Theatre Festival, 8/20

According to Variety, The Last Goodbye, the rock version of Romeo and Juliet featuring songs by Jeff Buckley, will be premiering at the Williamstown Theatre Festival. The show will be produced by WTF in association with Hal Luftig, Ruth and Stephen Hendel, Alan D. Marks, and Stephen Moore. (more...)

The PS Classics cast recording of the Broadway revival of Finian's Rainbow was released in stores Tuesday, February 2. To celebrate the CD release, Finian's Rainbow stars Kate Baldwin, Cheyenne Jackson, Christopher Fitzgerald, Jim Norton, Brian Reddy, Terri White and Guy Davis hosted a CD signing for fans. Box Office Opens Tuesday for FINIAN'S RAINBOW; Carlyle Announces Changes for Broadway Production

Producers David Richenthal, Jack Viertel, and Alan D. Marks have announced that the box office opens today for the Broadway production of the critically-acclaimed New York City Center Encores! production of Finian's Rainbow, which transfers to Broadway's St. James Theatre, 246 West 44 Street, beginning Thursday, October 8 at 8pm, with an opening set for Thursday, October 29 at 6:45pm.
