Cortland Repertory Theatre's 2011 production of the musical Chicago “razzle dazzled ‘em” at the Syracuse Area Live Theatre (SALT) Awards, winning in two out of the three Summer Production categories. The awards were presented on Sunday, May 20 at the Palace Theatre in Syracuse. Hosted by the Syracuse New Times, the SALT Awards recognize professional, summer and community theatres, each in their own categories. (more...)

Last year The Way Off Broadway Dinner Theatre, through its outside theatrical producing division, WOB LIVE! Entertainment, and Walkersville Southern Railroad formed a partnership to produce interactive mystery trains for the railroad in addition to its other excursion and dinner trains. Since the partnership began, these mystery trains have been offered as an option for groups booking the train for their private functions. (more...)

During the pre-talk of the opening night production of THE MOUSETRAP, William Fee, Great Lakes TheatreÂ’s Producing Artistic Director, shared that when the company was designing the 2011-2012 season, they wanted to add a different dimension to their offerings. The show selected had to take a diverse approach to the usual offerings, but retain the theatreÂ’s classic tradition. (more...)
