LOVE NEVER DIES Opening Likely in Melbourne in 2011

Reps for LOVE NEVER DIES have confirmed to the New York Times this morning that indeed the production will not open on Broadway as planned in the Spring of 2011. Adrian Bryan-Brown of the Boneau Bryan Brown agency wrote in an e-mail to the Times: "Love Never Dies' will not be opening on Broadway this Spring...Further news about the show will be announced shortly." SPIDER-MAN Gets New PR Representative in Rick Miramontez

SPIDER-MAN has made headlines again. The New York Times reports that press agent Adrian Bryan-Brown of Boneau/Bryan-Brown has cut ties with Broadway's upcoming SPIDER-MAN: TURN OFF THE DARK. Bryan-Brown's Thursday statement noted that he "made the personal decision to resign this week," and looked forward to seeing the production on Broadway. He has been working on the show for the past three years. The lead producer of the show, Michael Cohl, has accepted the resignation and appointed Rick Miramontez, president of firm O&M, to head future press for SPIDER-MAN. ( more...)

RIALTO CHATTER: Fate of 'SPIDER-MAN' to Be Determined on Friday

The New York Times is now reporting that a meeting has been scheduled for Friday with director Julie Taymor and members of the creative team and producers to discuss and determine the fate of the show. Executives quoted (anonymously) in the New York Times story tell the paper that it's expected that the show may not be prepared to open by April 29, 2010, the cutoff date for the Tony Awards nominators.

SPIDER-MAN Musical 'Swings' Closer to Broadway Debut

The UK TimesOnline site is reporting that SPIDERMAN may be ready to battle his most powerful foe of all - the Broadway slump. The news service reports the the musical based on the Marvel comic book hero, written by Bono and the Edge from U2, will indeed take residency in the Hilton Theatre early next year as the chilly wind of a US recession blows through the theatre district of New York City.
