Songwriter and Playwright Michael Mitnick (Fly By Night, Animal House) comes to Joe's Pub at The Public for a one-night concert of his songs on September 9th at 9:30 PM. Described as 'his first public concert in 30 years,' Mitnick will be joined by a four-piece band and an ensemble of Broadway performers including Santino Fontana (Billy Elliot, Cinderella), Adam Riegler (Addams Family), Will Connolly (Once), Austin Durant (War Horse), Peter Friedman (Ragtime), Jessica Grove (A Little Night Music) and more. The Broadway production of the hit musical comedy THE ADDAMS FAMILY will end its run at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre (205 West 46th St.) today at 2 PM after 725 performances and 34 previews.

Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS' 23rd Annual Gypsy of the Year, which was presented Monday, December 5 and Tuesday, December 6 at the New Amsterdam Theatre, featured performances by 17 of the hottest Broadway and Off-Broadway shows, a 40-year reunion of the original Broadway cast of Grease, a tribute to national touring companies and appearances by more than 300 actors, singers and dancers. Hundreds of middle school students across the country are taking a pledge to be a 'respectful and positive person', to recognize that 'each person is unique,' to 'be more accepting' of people 'and make no snap judgments about them'. And stars of Broadway's family-favorite musical The Addams Family will headline a live national Internet broadcast to 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grade classrooms that will encourage and promote students to take the 'No Snap Judgments' pledge. The event takes place on Thursday, October 13th from 11:30AM - 12Noon EDT.
