National Alliance For Musical Theatre Announces Directors & Musical Directors For FESTIVAL OF NEW MUSICALS

National Alliance for Musical Theatre announces the line-up of directors for their 30th Annual FESTIVAL OF NEW MUSICALS, which takes place on Thursday, October 25 and Friday, October 26, 2018 at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street, between 8th and 9th Avenues). The Festival events will kick off on Monday, October 22 with Thank You, 30!, a gala event to celebrate the 30th Annual Festival.

Todrick Hall to Guest Star on Season Two of YouTube's STEP UP: HIGH WATER

YouTube Originals and Lionsgate (NYSE: LGF.A, LGF.B)  announced international singer/songwriter/producer NE-YO is returning to their groundbreaking hit original dance drama STEP UP: HIGH WATER, alongside new cast members Ashley Greene (Twilight); Dancer/Choreographer Jeremy Copeland; and multi-platinum recording artist and entrepreneur Rick Ross who is set to guest star as himself. Todrick Hall will also make a cameo playing himself. JaQuel Knight will choreograph episode three as well as make a cameo playing himself.  Series regulars Singer/Actress Naya Rivera and Actor/Comedian Faizon Love will also return for season two. The first episode of season one of Step Up: High Water boasts over 27M views.   Production for the 10-episode, hour long series is currently underway in Atlanta, GA. STEP UP: HIGH WATER will premiere on YouTube Premium in 2019.

WHAT MEN WANT is the latest comedy starring Taraji P. Henson from director Adam Shankman (HAIRSPRAY) and producers Will Packer and James Lopez (GIRLS TRIP). The film is set to open in theaters on January 11, 2019.

Longtime Theatre Professor Directs Senior Citizens in A YEAR WITH FROG AND TOAD

Gettysburg Community Theatre (GCT) the not-for-profit 501c3 community theatre located at 49 York Street in historic downtown Gettysburg, will present a musical perfect for the whole family, A Year With Frog And Toad, based on the children's books by Arnold Lobel. The performances will be 8pm Fridays and Saturdays and 2pm Sundays August 10-26, 2018 and tickets are available online at www.GettysburgCommunityTheatre.org or by calling 717-334-2692. Tickets can be purchased at the door if there are seats available. A Year With Frog And Toad is GCT's All-Senior Citizen Cast production for 2018. Each actor is retired or semi-retired ages 55+ and enjoys rehearsing during the day, which then allows the theatre to be available for other rehearsals in the evening of working adults and school children. Past Senior Citizen productions at GCT have been Fiddler On The Roof, Once Upon A Mattress, A Charlie Brown Christmas, and Nunsense. This production is made possible in part by grants from the Cultural Alliance of York County, The Robert C. Hoffman Trust held by the Adams County Community Foundation, and the Adams County Arts Council's Star Grant.

Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and Dizzy Feet Foundation to celebrate this year's 9th annual National Dance Day (NDD) on Saturday, July 28 from 1 - 8 p.m. National Dance Day is presented by The Dizzy Feet Foundation (DFF), co-founded by Nigel Lythgoe and Adam Shankman. YouTube announced that it has ordered a second season of the popular dance drama series STEP UP: HIGH WATER from global content leader Lionsgate (NYSE: LGF.A, LGF.B). Since its debut on January 31, the first episode of STEP UP: HIGH WATER has generated over 22 million views. Series regulars Singer/Actress Naya Rivera (Glee) and Actor/Comedian Faizon Love (Couples Retreat, Elf) are set to return in the second season of the 10-episode, hour long series which begins production in the fall and debuts on YouTube Premium in 2019.
